Founder and CEO
Born in Michigan and raised outside of Chicago, Jason Eckert is a classic example of the American entrepreneur.
In June 1999, Jason and his father, Philip Eckert, started Harvest Food Group. What began with two computers, two desks, a dial up modem and lots of prayers and hard work has gone from zero dollars in sales in a 400 square foot office to one of the fastest growing privately owned food companies in the country.
Jason is also a founding partner of the American Pasteurization Company (APC). Based in Milwaukee, WI and with facilities in Sacramento, California, APC provides high pressure processing to the food and beverage industry, and since its inception in 2004 has experienced double-digit growth annually. Today APC employs over 150 people.
Building and sustaining these businesses has come in no small measure through Jason’s committed ethic of family, faith, the importance of relationships and simple hard work. According to Jason, “Relationships have eternal value, and remaining humble is the key to success. People won’t care how much you know unless they know how much you care.”
